2008 Manubach Mönchwingert Riesling Spätlese, Mittelrhein, Germany

Herbal and somewhat waxy-cheesy stone fruit nose with mineral and a hint of honeyed tones. Has a certain firmness and substance, discreet sweetness, rounded, medium-bodied, preserved fruit of cider apple and stone fruit, again herbal and hints of mineral, integrated acidity, a little rough and bitterish on the decent to good finish.
