The estate is located in the municipality of Nordheim (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region Franconia
, It was founded in 1985 by Waldemar and Heidi Braun. Son Patrick is responsible for the basement. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the individual Kirchberg (Volkach), Rosenberg
(Escherndorf), as well as Kreuzberg and little bird
(Nordheim) with the white varieties Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Bacchus, Riesling, Kerner, Scheurebe, Rieslaner, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, as well as the red varieties Domina, Pinot Noir and Black Riesling.
The vines are cultivated according to the guidelines of natural viticulture. Quality criteria are low yields, selective harvesting, careful processing of the harvested material, intensive pre-clarification of the must and controlled fermentation. The white wines are made in stainless steel, the red wines in large wooden barrels and also in barriques. In suitable years, noble sweet berries and ice wines are also pressed. All wines are filled with a screw cap. Pearl wines, bottle-fermented sparkling wines and brandies (pomace, yeast, wine, apple, pear) are also produced.
