2015 Nordheim Vögelein Spätburgunder trocken "Quintessenz", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Earthy, nutty, slightly malty and woody scent of ripe red and black berries with tobacco notes. Ripe, partly preserved, relatively dark fruit, roasted and somewhat chocolaty wood spice, a little coffee on the palate, ripe, present, fine sandy tannin, lots of strength and melt, warming alcohol, quite good substance and persistence, slight wood bitter, smoky nuances, in the background earthy, relatively bitter, slightly covered, again alcohol-warm finish
