2015 Pinot Noir trocken Reserve, Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm nose, some smoked bacon and peppery spice, predominantly black and a few red berries and cherries, herbaceous, earthy and mineral notes, delicate floral aromas. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, prominent toasted, spicy oak, some chocolate and peppery notes, cardamom, cloves and smoky notes, coffee in the background, fairly prominent, still sandy tannins, light bite, good substance and persistence, light jammy notes on a very good, firm, juicy, spicy finish.
