Editor note: Nose initially slightly reductive, nutty notes, elegant vegetal and herbaceous notes, smoky traces, yellow fruit, traces of asparagus and peanuts. Polished, still very slightly muted fruit on the palate, yeasty traces, delicate spicy oak, elegant, lively acidity, hint of srtinging nettle and lemon verbena, fairly good persistent, fine sandy tannins still slightly astringent, fairly good persistence, hint of white pepper and salt, good to very good, but still slightly astringent finish.
Best to drink: Mid-2019-2021+
The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three areas Maindreieck. Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
