Editor note: Fairly cool nose, delicate yeasty traces, light nutty notes, fresh vegetal and herbaceous notes, pomaceous fruit, hint of asparagus and a hint of yellow flowers. Youthful, straightforward fruit on the palate, still has prominent yeasty notes, fairly elegant, lively acidity, very light tannic grip, fairly persistent, hint of sugar candy and red berries, light salty mineral notes, good, elegant, juicy finish.
Best to drink: To 2020+
The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three areas Maindreieck. Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
