2007 Ried Obere Heidäcker Zweigelt trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Elegant, slightly shy nose, preserved red currants and some dark cherries, hint of chocolate, spicy oak. Polished cool red berry fruit on the palate, some cherries and sour cherries, light mineral traces, moderate oak, hint of solvent in the background. integrated, fine-grained tannins, has substance, but still appears a little fragile, very slightly astringent on a good finish.
