The estate is located in the municipality of Glanz ad Weinstraße in the Austrian wine-growing region südsteiermark, Already since the year 1682 wine is grown on the traditional farm or in the family. Andreas Tscheppe sen. was one of the Styrian wine-growing pioneers, among other things, he introduced in his farm new methods of education and vineyard-ready vineyard equipment. His two sons Andreas jun. and Ewald completed their training at the wine-growing school Silberberg, Until the year 2004, the estate was renamed "Andreas Tscheppe", now it is under the new name "Weingut Werlitsch" (old house name) led by Ewald and Brigitte Tscheppe (Andreas Tscheppe jun. established an independent business).

The vineyards cover nine hectares of vineyards near the Slovenian Border in the Rieden Langegg and Unterglanzberg. They are planted exclusively with white varieties, namely Sauvignon Blanc (50%), Morillon (35%), Yellow Muscat and Welschriesling. The management takes place after biodynamic methods according to the guidelines of the organic association DEMETER, The focus is on the different soil types, the bedrock consists of Opok (Lime marl with a PH value > 7).

The wines are stored as cuvées under the name "EX VERO I, II and III" storable, the variety shares are not specified. They basically go through all of a malolactic fermentation. EX VERO stands for exposition and steepness of the situation; I is the hillside with less than half a meter of brown earth lying deeper bedrock, II the middle and III the highest slope area, where the vines are rooted directly in the rock just below the surface. They usually store in barrels before bottling for two years. Since 2007, there is a second line on the mash fermented "orange-white wines". The winery is part of the community of values "Taste life".
