Editor note: Fairly firm nose, prominent yeasty and light nutty notes, vegetal notes, floral traces, hint of red berries. Fairly juicy, slightly off-dry fruit on the palate, vegetal, floral and more porminent yeasty aromas, fairly fine, lively mousse, good persistence, some acid bite, almonds, hint of tobacco, good to very good, fairly firm finish.
Best to drink: To 2020+

The red grape variety ( breeding number Klosterneuburg 181-2-71) is a new breed between St. Laurent x Blaufränkisch (which happened through in 1997 DNA analysis has been confirmed). Synonyms are Blue Zweigeltrebe, Blauer Zweigelt, Cvaigelt, Cveigelt, Klosterneuburg 71, Rotburger, Semenac Cerni 71, Zweigelt 71, Zweigeltrebe and Zwiegel.
