The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The winery is located in the municipality Brauneberg (Bernkastel area) in the German region Moselle, The traditional Haag family has been living here since 1500. After the father's early death, Marcus Haag, a graduate of the university of applied sciences, took over Geisenheim and grandson of the founder Willi Haag, in 1997 responsibility for the winery. The vineyards, 95% of which are in steep slopes, cover six hectares of vineyards, mostly in the top locations in Brauneberg Juffer and Juffer sundial, They are planted exclusively with Riesling. The wines from the communities of Burgen, Mülheim and Veldenz are marketed as Gutsriesling. Two thirds of the production volume is exported. This results in the high proportion of 80% of wines with a sweet taste. 10% each are produced dry and semi-dry. In order to accommodate lovers of both styles, the Rieslings are fermented alternately spontaneously or with pure yeasts, which leads to different expressions in the bouquet of the wines. The winery is a member of VDP (Association of German quality wine estates).
