2013 Vulkanland Steiermark trocken Olivin, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm nose, spicy oak and some tobacco, herbaceous notes, ripe, partly preserved black berries and cherries, peppery aromas, tarry traces, some licorice, dried herbaceous and mineral notes in the background. Firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, toasted oak, herbaceous traces, pepper and salty mineral notes, spicy notes, elegant acid bite, youthful tannins good grip, still compact, reined-in power, some depth, nutty traces and a hint of dark chocolate, vdery good firm finish.
