The estate is located in the municipality of Dittelsheim-Hessloch (Wonnegau area) at the foot of the Kloppberg in the German wine-growing region Rheinhessen, The traditional family, originally from Austria, was first mentioned in 1469. She has been involved in viticulture for many generations, so a Werner Winter planted Silvaner and Riesling vines around 1600. For a long time, the property was a mixed agricultural operation, until the beginning of the 1990s, the company concentrated entirely on viticulture. The company is run today by Stefan Winter, the practical experience in the wineries Keller Klaus (Rheinhessen) and Bassermann-Jordan (Pfalz) could collect.

The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyards in individual locations Hasensprung (Becht home), Aulerde and Morstein (Westhofen), as well as Geyersberg, Kloppberg and Leckerberg (Dittelsheim). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, as well as the red wine Pinot Noir. The quality criteria in the vineyard are yield reduction, fully ripe grapes and selective hand picking as late as possible. Ferment the musts spontaneous depending on the type of wine and taste, in a period of 10 to 30 days, in some cases even over several months. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in wooden barrels. The winery is a member of VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter) and the German Wine Elf.
