The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The estate is located in the community Dittelsheim -Hessloch (area Wonnegau) at the foot of the Kloppbergs in the German wine-growing region Rheinhessen, The traditional family, originally from Austria, was first mentioned in documents in 1469. It has been involved in viticulture for many generations, as Werner Winter already planted Silvaner and Riesling vines around the year 1600. For a long time, however, the estate was a mixed farm until it was completely concentrated on viticulture in the early 1990s. The company is run today by Stefan Winter, the practical experience in the wineries Keller Klaus (Rheinhessen) and Bassermann-Jordan (Palatinate) could collect.

The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Hasensprung (Becht home), Aulerde and Morstein (Westhofen), as well as Geyersberg, Kloppberg and Leckerberg (Dittelsheim). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Sylvaner, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, and the red wine variety Spätburgunder. The quality criteria in the vineyard are yield reduction, fully ripe grapes and as late as possible selective hand-picking. Ferment the musts spontaneous depending on the type of wine and flavor in a period of 10 to 30 days, in some cases even over several months. The wines are matured depending on the type of wine partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in wooden barrels. The winery is a member of VDP (Association of German Prädikatsweingüter) and the German Weinelf.
