2009 Westhofen Aulerde Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Herbaceous-vegetable and clearly mineral scent of citrus fruits and a little stone fruit with notes of dried foliage and mushroom and earthy tones. Ripe, juicy, quite sweet fruit, partly candied, dried vegetable, earthy to mineral and wilt-floral tones, lively acidity, but the warming alcohol and the conspicuous sugar make the wine nevertheless a little broad, slightly drying tannins, good persistence, very good, warm, sweetish finish with partly candied fruit and minerality
