Editor note: Fairly cool nose, light floral and vegetal notes, tart yellow fruit, earthy traces. Prominent citrus fruit and some apple on the palate, fairly lively acidity, some grip, vegetal and floral notes, light earthy and chalky mineral notes, some bite, fairly persistent, noticeable, but fairly well integrated alcohol, hint of sugar candy, good to very good finish.
Best to drink: Late 2019-2021+
The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three areas Maindreieck. Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
