2007 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein, Alto Adige, Italy

Preserved black and some red berries on the nose, cherries, tart floral and smoky notes. Fairly cool style, slightly austere on the palate, floral and vegetal notes, but also quite juicy, polished tannins, slightly sweetish and creamy in the background, light acid bite, mineral traces, also very slightly metallic, slightly astringent, good to very good finish.
