2014 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay Riserva Burgum Novum, Alto Adige, Italy

Light floral, herbaceous and nutty notes on the nose, partly candied citrus fruit, whiff of cigar box, hint of varnish. Fairly juicy, partly candied and preserved fruit on the palate, some smoky oak, yeasty and light floral notes, lively acidity, sweetish and creamy, noticeable high alcohol, hint of varnish again, slightly muted, becomes clearer and more harmonious with aeration, pulses in the background, finish initally slightly astringent, then becomes more juicy, with noticeable warm alcohol.
