Editor note: Delicate floral notes and vegetal traces on the nose, partly candied light yellow fruit aromas. Ripe, partlycandied, slightly warm yellow fruit on the palate, very elegant acidity, hint of caramel and honey, good persistence, chalky mineral traces, delicate hint of almonds, tranquil style, tart mineral notes on a very good, sweet finish.
Best to drink: To 2028+
The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three areas Maindreieck. Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
