The winery is located in the municipality of Rödelsee (Steigerwald area) in the German wine-growing region of
Franconia. It was founded in 2007 with three rows of vines, from which the name is derived. The
garage winery is run by Christian Ehrlich and Alexandra Müller-Ehrlich on a part-time basis. The owners' self-definition of the genesis is "1 thought, 2 lateral thinkers and 3 rows". The vineyards cover 1.2 hectares in the single vineyard
Küchenmeister (Rödelsee). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Bacchus, as well as the red wine variety Pinot Noir.
Organic viticulture close to nature is practised; since 2012 according to the guidelines of
Bioland (certified by ABCERT)
The quality-enhancing, yield-reduced grapes are processed into
organic wines with as little intervention as possible. Fermentation takes place exclusively
spontaneously with the vineyard's own natural yeasts in order to emphasise the typicality of origin. We experiment with unusual blends and the ageing of white and red wines in classic barriques, if possible made of oak from the neighbouring Steigerwald. The wines are consistently vinified dry. As a special feature, a
vine sponsorship with one or even several vines is offered, with the possibility of helping with the harvest
