Editor note: Slightly muted nose, nutty notes, hint of bacon and mushrooms, ripe yellow fruit aromas, vegetal traces, hint of tobacco. Slightly creamy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, touch of brown butter, elegant, lively acidity, light grip, good persistence, bacon, mushrooms and green nuts in the background, very light tannic grip, earthy and salty notes, slightly sweetish and creamy again on a good to very good finish.
Best to drink: To 2020+

The growing area is located on the northern edge of the state of Bavaria in Germany and is from Main flowed through in a large W shape. A special feature is that the Bavarian vineyards on Lake Constance around Lindau to the cultivation area Wuerttemberg belong. The vineyards cover 6,130 hectares of vineyards, most of which stretch between Aschaffenburg and Schweinfurt. All of the vineyards are located on south-facing valley slopes on the banks of the Main or in side valleys of its tributaries.
