2005 Sopron Spern Steiner Syrah, Nordwesten, Hungary

Editor note: Cool, slightly tart nose, cherries and black berries, tart herbaceous and mineral notes, light roasted and smoky oak. Cool and tart on the palate too, dark fruit, slightly smoky oak, quite fine tannins, fairly persistent, light mineral notes in the background, quite a light-bodied style, but harmonious and quite persistent, good finish.
