Description to Bonnezeaux AOC

The appellation is an enclave within the area Coteaux du Layon in the winegrowing region Loire, It covers 130 hectares of vineyards on slate soils on the three south-facing steep slopes of Beauregard, Fesles and La Montagne in the municipality of Bellevigne-en-Layon on the right bank of the Layon, a tributary of the Loire. The durable one sweet wine becomes 100% unmixed from noble rot (not mandatory) or at least overripe grapes of the variety Chenin Blanc (here Pineau de la Loire) won. The yield is limited to a maximum of 25 hl / ha, the alcohol content must be at least 12% vol, the residual sugar content at least 34 g / l.
