Description to Bouzeron AOC

Community appellation in the French Burgundy between Chagny and Rully in the northwestern corner of the large area Côte Chalonnaise, It covers the areas of the municipalities of Bouzeron and Chassey-le-Camp. The vineyards cover about 60 hectares of vineyards on nutrient-poor clay and limestone soils at 270 to 350 meters above sea level, mostly with the white grape Aligoté are planted. In the past, the wines were under Bourgogne Aligoté marketed, were allowed to add the common name from 1979 and carry the name "Bourgogne Aligoté Bouzeron", before finally in 1997 due to the excellent quality its own appellation was created.
