DOC area for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region Sicily, The zone comprises areas of the municipalities of Alia, Aliminusa, Caltavuturo, Castellana Sicula, Castronuovo di Sicilia, Cerda, Montemaggiore Belsito, Petralia Sottana, Polizzi Generosa, Sclafani Bagni and Valledolmo in the province of Palermo, the municipalities of Vallelunga Pratameno and Villalba in the province of Caltanissetta, and the municipality of Cammarata in the province of Agrigento.
The Bianco is blended from Ansonica and / or Catarratto and / or Grecanico (500%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 50%). The Rosso is made from Nero d'Avola and / or Perricone (50%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 50%). The rosato is made from Nerello Mascalese (50%) and other approved varieties (max. 50%).
There is also a Dolce Vendemmia Tardiva ( late vintage ) from white varieties. a Spumante there are all white wines. a Novello there are of all red wines. And one Riserva with at least 24 months of aging there is all red wines except Nerello Mascalese.
