DOC area for reds, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region Sicily, The area covers areas of Alia, Aliminusa, Caltavuturo, Castellana Sicula, Castronuovo di Sicilia, Cerda, Montemaggiore Belsito, Petralia Sottana, Polizzi Generosa, Sclafani Bagni and Valledolmo in the province of Palermo, the municipalities of Vallelunga Pratameno and Villalba in the province of Caltanissetta, and the municipality of Cammarata in the province of Agrigento.
The Bianco is blended from Ansonica and / or Catarratto and / or Grecanico (to 500%), as well as other approved varieties (maximum 50%). The Rosso is produced from Nero d'Avola and / or Perricone (to 50%), as well as other approved varieties (maximum 50%). The Rosato is produced from Nerello Mascalese (to 50%), as well as other approved varieties (max 50%).
There is also a Dolce Vendemmia Tardiva ( late vintage ) from white varieties. a Spumante There are of all white wines. a Novello There are of all red wines. And one Riserva With at least 24 months maturing, there are of all reds except Nerello Mascalese.
