The regional appellation applies to Crémant (Champagne sparkling wine) made from traditional grape varieties Burgundy is produced. It replaced the old name "Bourgogne Mousseux". The main varieties used are the white ones Chardonnay. Pinot Blanc. Pinot Gris and Aligoté as well as the red Pinot Noir and Gamay, Mainly white and to a lesser extent rosé wines.
