DOC area for a wide range of reds and whites in the Italian region or on the island Sicily, Named after the river Delia, the four municipalities of Marsala, Mazara del Vallo, Petrosino and Salemi in the province of Trapani.
The Bianco (also as Frizzante ) is blended from Inzolia and / or Grecanico and / or Grillo (to 65%) and other authorized varieties (35% maximum). The Rosso is produced in any mixture or use of Nero d'Avola, Pignatello, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Syrah (to 65%), as well as other approved varieties (maximum 35%). Of all red wines, there is also one Novello, as well as having at least 24 months maturity one Riserva,
Of the Spumante is blended in any mixture or use of the varieties Inzolia, Grecanico, Grillo, Chardonnay and Damaschino. A varietal spumante is also found in Chardonnay, Damaschino, Grecanico, Grillo and Inzolia (85% of each).
