IGP area on the island Corsica; the name means "island of beauty". He belongs to the huge IGP area Méditerranée, The island is often shared with the approximately 160 kilometers west French wine-growing region Provence considered as a unit. The vineyards for IGP wines cover 3,200 hectares of vineyards, which is almost half of the stock. However, these provide around three quarters of the Corsican production.
