The vineyards cover 220 hectares of vines on limestone, clay and loam soils in 12 municipalities in the department var, The most important red wines are Grenache Noir ( Garnacha Tinta ) Cinsault, Carignan Noir ( mazuelo ), Mourvèdre ( Monastrell ) and Cabernet Sauvignon, The most important white wines are Ugni Blanc ( Trebbiano Toscano ) Bourboulenc and Clairette, Well-known producers are Domaine Pey-Neuf and La Cadiérenne.
