Description to Mont-Caume
IGP area in the French wine-growing region of Provence, which corresponds in terms of area to the Bandol AOC area. The vineyards cover 220 hectares of vineyards on limestone, clay and loam soils in 12 communes in the Var department. The main red wine varieties are Grenache Noir(Garnacha Tinta), Cinsaut, Carignan Noir(Mazuelo), Mourvèdre(Monastrell) and Cabernet Sauvignon. The main white wine varieties are Ugni Blanc(Trebbiano Toscano), Bourboulenc and Clairette. Well known producers are Domaine Pey-Neuf and La Cadiérenne.
