DOC area (also Pornassio) for red and rose wines in the Italian region Liguria, The zone includes parts of the municipalities of Aquila di Arroscia, Armo, Borghetto d'Arroscia, Cesio, Cosio d'Arroscia, Mendatica, Molini di Triora, Montegrosso Pian Latte, Pieve di Teco, Pornassio Ranzo, Rezzo and Vessalico in the province of Imperia. All types of wine must have at least 95% Ormaesco ( Dolcetto ), the rest can be other approved, non-aromatic varieties. There are the types Rosso (also as Superiore ), Sciac-Trà (Rosato), Passito and Passito Liquoroso.
