DOC area (also Pornassio) for reds and rosé wines in the Italian region Liguria, The zone includes parts of the municipalities Aquila di Arroscia, Armo, Borghetto d'Arroscia, Cesio, Cosio d'Arroscia, Mendatica, Molini di Triora, Montegrosso Pian Latte, Pieve di Teco, Pornassio Ranzo, Rezzo and Vessalico in the province of Imperia. All wine types must be at least 95% Ormaesco ( Dolcetto ), the remainder may be other approved non-aromatic varieties. There are the types Rosso (also as Superiore ), Sciac-Trà (Rosato), Passito and Passito Liquoroso.
