The Grand Cru location is in the Burgundian community Vosne-Romanée (Côte d'Or) above the Grand Cru location Romanée-Conti, With only 0.83 hectares of vineyards on a very steep slope, this is the least Appellation of France. The entire vineyard belongs to the estate Domaine Château de Vosne-Romanée, which is owned by the Liger-Belair family. The marketing is done since 1976 by the trading company Bouchard Père et Fils, The red wine is mainly made from Pinot Noir with small amounts of Pinot Gris and Pinot Liébault and can be stored for decades.
