The appellation named after the town of the same name (also Sainte-Foy) is located in the far east of the large area Entre-deux-Mers (Bordeaux) on the border with the area Bergerac, The vineyards cover 350 hectares and cover 19 municipalities in the department Gironde, The mostly sweet white wines are made from the varieties Sémillon. The red wines are made from the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc. Merlot, Malbec ( Cot ) and Petit Verdot vinified. The wines are quite similar to those from Bergerac.
