Description to Valcalepio DOC

DOC area for red and white wines in the Italian region Lombardy, The name means "Valley of Calepio" (here once the Conte Calepio had possessions). The zone comprises the municipalities of Carobbio degli Angeli, Cenate Sotto, Credaro, Entratico, Gandosso, Ranica, San Paolo d'Argon, Torre de 'Roveri, Villa di Serio and Villongo, as well as parts of 41 municipalities in the west of Lake d 'Iseo in the Calepio Valley in the province of Bergamo. Additional geographical indications are allowed for the Moscato Passito, that is Gandosso, Grumello del Monte, Cenate Sotto, Torre de 'Roveri, Albano Sant'Alessandro and Carobbio degli Angeli.
