The origin of this wine cooperative in the city Krems in Lower Austria with the address Sand pit 13 goes back to the 1447 founded the oldest Hauerinnung of Krems and stone, the oldest in Germanspeaking space. In 1938, quality-conscious winemakers Krems and Stein founded the Winzer Krems. In the 1950s, the wine cooperative Traismauer (Traisental), founded in 1898, was the first wine cooperative founded in Austria. Winzer Krems - company building

Around 1,000 hectares of vineyards in five Lower Austrian wine regions are managed by 960 contract growers.
