2005 Kremstal Blauer Zweigelt trocken Glatt & Verkehrt, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Berry nose, dominated by oak, spicy coconut and dark chocolate. Loads of still dominant oak again on the palate, green notes and some chocolate, behind this berry fruit and some herbaceous notes, hint of solvents, ´needs time, astringent but very fine tannins, slightly sweet berries and vanilla on an attractive to good finish. It might have been a better idea to mature this fine grape material very smoothly in large oak.
