2007 Zweigelt trocken Reserve "In Ölbergen", Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Berries on the nose, some chocolate, hint of polish, some green wood, delicate hint of bacon and smoky notes. Polished, very slightly tart preserved cherry fruit on the palate, red berries and some star fruit, needs some aeration, delicately sandy tannins still slightly prominent, full-bodied as well as polished, light acidity provides backbone, fairly juicy on a slightly astringent but otherwise good finish.
