Editor note: Nutty and light floral notes on the nose, ripe citrus fruit and a whiff of pomaceous fruit, delicate hint of yellow spice, earthy and mineral notes. Clear, polished, cool, elegant, juicy, firm fruit on the palate, delicate nutty, vegetal and floral aromas, lively acidity, touch of carbon dioxide, more prominent lemony aromas, light grip, good persistence, yeasty, nutty and mineral notes on a good to very good, cool, firm, juicy finish.
Best to drink: To 2020+

The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three main triangle areas, Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
